Compared to wider beam angles, the VioBeam-1X1 achieves extremely high intensities with an exceptionally focused beam.

The below intensity plots show a direct comparison of 265nm LEDs with 135°, 60°, and 10° beam angles at 50 mm distance and detector size of 30 mm x 30 mm.

In comparison to the VC1X1C48LC-265-V1 (135°), the VioBeam-1X1-265-V1 (10°) achieves >55x higher intensity and >50x total power in a 1cm2 area.

Water Disinfection & Air Purification

 

Water disinfection and air purification systems often require LEDs to propagate light at long distances and within tight conduits (as pictured below).

With a low divergent beam angle, the VioBeam-1X1 achieves extended optical reach and can significantly reduce the number of LEDs needed, particularly in low-reflectance conduits.

 

The below example features a 2X2 (customized) array of VioBeam-1X1-265-V1 LEDs with minimal losses throughout the chamber (intensity is shown at TD 210mm).
