Violumas Launches Next-Generation UV LEDs with Higher UVC Output.

Violumas, a provider of high-power UV LED solutions and the inventor of 3-PAD LED technology, has released its next-generation 255nm, 265nm, and 275nm LEDs, available in both SMD and COB configurations.

🔹 Higher Radiant Output (10–30% Increase Over Previous Generation)

In a compact 5.2mm × 5.2mm single-emitter package, the new devices achieve:

  • 65mW (255nm)

  • 130mW (265nm)

  • 145mW (275nm)

The radiant flux of the 265nm and 275nm models has increased by 10–30% compared to the previous generation.

🔹 Multiple Packaging and Optical Options

The new UVC LEDs are also offered in 4-LED, 9-LED, and 16-LED chip-on-board (COB) configurations, delivering industry-leading power levels for a wide range of UVC applications.

Each LED is encapsulated with a single high-transmission fused silica lens to ensure long-term stable performance. Optical beam angles of 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°, and 135° are available to accommodate diverse UVC application requirements.

These next-generation LEDs are also integrated into Violumas’ ultra-narrow beam product, the VioBeam-1X1, featuring a unique 10° fused silica optic designed for far-field and focused illumination.

🔹 3-PAD Thermal Management Technology

Every Violumas LED incorporates the proprietary 3-PAD thermal structure, achieving industry-leading low thermal resistance and enhancing:

  • System reliability

  • Compact system design

  • Long-term operational stability

This thermal architecture enables Violumas UVC LEDs to operate at a nominal driving current of 700mA per LED chip, while maintaining over 70% of initial radiant output after 10,000 hours of continuous operation.

With ongoing advancements in high-performance UVC LED technology, Violumas aims to accelerate industry adoption in high-power applications, including water disinfection, air purification, spectroscopy, and curing.
